CH 3 The Fabric of the Cosmos (Part 2)

Tonight’s section of The Fabric of the Cosmos involves a fairly complex theory developed by Einstein.  This theory of absolute space time is accepted today.  Although the book gave many separate examples to make the concept of absolute space time simple to understand, I still found it difficult to completely understand the concept of absolute space time.  I think the example with the street designs was the example that explained absolute space time to me.  Two separate designs of the design can be correct even though they look different simply because the designs were taken from different perspectives.  The most important thing to remember from this reading was that both absolute space and absolute time are not always constant, but absolute space time is constant.  When thinking about absolute space time, it is important to keep in mind that there is not always one constant and that just as in the street design example, there can be multiple true perspectives.
